About the Company

Alfie Balloons was established by Alfred Puth and Hettie Potgieter.
A father and daughter team started Alfie Balloons after Hettie finished school.
Our company mission is to provide our customers with Quality Service and the Very Best Product to ensure our customer have memorable experiences with our balloon designs.
In support of our vision we have joined the Qualatex Balloon Network which provide us with international training events and resources that enable the quality service and those memorable experiences.
We believe in ongoing training to improve our skills and providing our customers with high standard balloon decor.
Our team include some of the best in the world and both founding members has Certified Balloon Artists (CBA) credentials behind their names. The CBA credential is the highest qualification in the professional balloon decor industry. Hettie is also one of the regional trainers for Qualatex Balloon Boutique in South Africa

When handling balloons, always remember:

• Never release balloons into the atmosphere.
• Never inhale helium gas.
• Always use a balloon pump to inflate your balloons.
• Always secure helium-filled balloons to a weight
• When you're done enjoying your balloons, cut the ends and properly dispose.
• Keep children safe when playing with balloons and dispose any deflated or popped balloons right away.

Stance on Balloon Releases: Balloons Should Not Be Released

As a leader of The Balloon Council, Pioneer Balloon Company has worked with others to implement a new industry position against releasing any balloon into the environment. Don't let go: Inflate. Weight. Enjoy.
Alfie Balloons says balloons should not be released. People love balloons, but for many reasons no longer support balloon releases.  We are working hard to share and inspire the use of Smart Balloon Practices to keep balloons available for every occasion.
We stand with communities by encouraging that balloons be weighted, not released outdoors, and disposed of properly when broken or deflated.  Whether it's a single balloon or hundreds, let's keep them from flying away.
